Display types field content in post single page only

Hi,

I know this has got to be something simple I am missing, however I have done a forum search and gone thru the documentation a few times

I've created a custom field for normal post types (not custom post type)

I'm using a custom hook to insert it at the bottom of the blog posts and the following shortcode works fine to do this..

[types field="answer" show_name="true" class="answeredby" raw="false"]

However it also seems to add the whole content of the field to not only the single post page but also the archive's excerpts and blog front page excerpts.

I dont want it displayed in any excerpts

Any help appreciated
