Dear Caridad,
Here are the results of my testing of the last dev version:
1. I get 12 warnings (corresponding to 6 languages x 2) each time I DUPLICATE the 6 translations of a post: ([22-Jan-2014 23:37:54 UTC] PHP Warning: mysql_real_escape_string() expects parameter 1 to be string, object given in /mnt/ssd/www/cg1/wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 880) x 12
2. I get 12 warnings (corresponding to 6 languages x 2) each time I UPDATE a post that has DUPLICATED translations: ([22-Jan-2014 23:37:54 UTC] PHP Warning: mysql_real_escape_string() expects parameter 1 to be string, object given in /mnt/ssd/www/cg1/wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 880) x 12
3. After I changed the category of a translated post from "Uncategorized" to "Old Site Feedback", I got 2 Categories lost and their corresponding translated categories lost or mixed up: You can see this problem on the test website http://rhea.cleargreen.com in Dashboard -> Posts -> Categories, you'll notice that the English categories have 4 categories and that for the other languages they have 4, 5, 6 or 7 and they got mixed up… meaning that Russian category list for example is containing now some German categories… I do not think that this instability was caused by the dev version, I thing this bug was already there because I rebuilt our website not only because of the lost translations problem but also because our Category structure got totally broken two months ago for an undetermined reason, and it seems obvious to me now that what broke our Categories is WPML… Could you investigate on that too with the development team? This is important to stabilize because we will have many Categories, and if they break then the views can brake too and it will be a pain in the ass to recreate them and reattribute all linked posts…
4. I did not experience any Lost post translations so far, I got only lost Categories that have been translated under WPML Taxonomy Translation.
Thank you!
G
