Is there a possibility to have Types automatically unattach an image or other uploaded file when the user removes it it from a repeated field or empty it's field value?
I would expect this to be the default behaviour, but it isn't.
Maybe it would even be a good idea if their would be a field setting for media fields that when an attachment gets orphaned (so when it's no longer attached to any post) it would also be deleted from the file system. So this would happen when the given field is emptied/removed or when the custom post is deleted itself.
+ If the attached file is removed/unattached in the Media manager Types should pick this change up and update the related fields.
If this is already possible (any WP or Types hooks that I can leverage?) I would like to know how, and if it's not (yet) possible I would like to put this in as a feature request for a future release.
