I will forward the problem to the developers because it is confusing. However, let me explain: there are 2 versions of the types plugin:
1) the one called types from the wordpress.org plugin repository
2) the one called wp-types from our own repository (installer plugin required).
Both plugins are exactly the same, but if you update from wordpress.org the plugin will be renamed to types and disabled. To resolve this you can enable the plugin again by visiting the plugins page.
