I've tried finding the answer to this on the forum and I think I've ready about it but I'm just not grasping it. Any help supplied to my direct situation would be much appreciated.
What I'm trying to do is learn how to allow the users to sort the posts based on their choice of date, or custom fields (average rating, amount of raters). The best example is how codecanyon allows you to sort the posts by date, author, category, rating, sales, price. I always use that feature on every site that has it and it's very important to me.
So far I've learned that you need to apply this to a normal view, not archive. I think it's something to do with filtering based on url parameter. For average rating I'm guessing it would be <= num 5 but that's where I get lost. How do I then insert that into a link?
I'm using a rating plugin that has the custom fields average rating and amount of raters so I'm good there.
I'm just looking to find out how you go about adding links or a select box to allow users to sort the query. (without having to use any type of submit button)
