actually what I want to achieve is a dynamic author/username filter. I want to display a View based on which buddypress members page/profile is currently viewed.
BP has a filter "bp_displayed_user_username" which I'd like to use to filter the View. Is this possible? If not by using the author shortcode, perhaps I can edit the php of the Author filter shortcode itself. Though I don't know where to find this file and actually hope to avoid having to hack the plugin code itself.
The best solution would be an extra field in the author filter UI, where it's possible to insert custom filter functions.
