Sorry for posting this but I have been racking my brain for almost two weeks on this and I am stumped. Probably a simple solution to it too.
So, I have a custom post type of Listings. For these listings I have a custom post type of Reviews (which is a child of Listings). I also need to have a slider displaying the images which are specific to the review. After trying several different things, I created a Custom Post Type of Slides which is a child of Reviews. The reason for this is explained next.
The slide mentioned above displays:
1) The images of the individual review on the review page
2) The images of ALL the reviews in a specific category on the review category page
3) ALL the images from ALL the reviews from ALL the categories on the landing page.
My system above works perfectly except for two things.
1) I was told by a support member from Types that I cannot have the Parent/ Child relationships work as above.
2) When images are uploaded through the CRED form only the Reviews the submitter is forced to select a category, but I need it pre-selected. The problem is that even with your API hook I cannot get this to work.
So in view of all the above, could someone suggest a better structure?
