The way your classifieds template works (and how the site I'm setting up as well) is the following:
1 – A user creates a post and it's automatically set to create as "Pending" (Or draft, but I'll keep it pending for the rest of this letter).
2A – Even if user doesn't pay, a dead post will be lying around.
2B – If the user hits the 'Back' button to edit before paying, multiple posts are created, all set to "Pending"
I understand the logic and why this must be, because it needs to save a post somewhere while awaiting confirmation on payment. But it will over time create a huge load of mess.
Is there any idea for a different methodology? or a script for cleanup? Perhaps to run upon payment, or as a cron job? – Probably "delete all posts with same name set to 'Pending'"? Or all posts 'pending' older than…
