Thankyou Pawel, just as I thought.
The intermediary post type makes sense in some circumstances (eg person-contract-hirecar) but not in my circumstance…it would only create more work for the user.
I'm not a big fan of modifying the admin so I will flatten my data model instead…to add the various services as custom fields on the MEMBER post type.
That will make my life easier with respect to views and filters but may require some rework in the future if the services change.
It would be great if Types could satisfy a many-to-many without an explicit intermediary post type! An enhancement request maybe?
