I'm new to wordpress and Toolset and still trying to get a handle on everything. I'm hoping someone can help me out.
I want to organize my site (multiple galleries) as follows:
Cities
- Paris
- New York
- Rome
- Barcelona
- etc.
Museums
- Louvre
- Met
- British Museum
. etc.
So basically the page for Paris would have a breadcrumb trail of Home/Cities/Paris and the British Museum page would have a breadcrumb trail of Home/Museums/British Museum.
I have figured out how to set this up using custom post types so the archives page serves as the "home" page for each section (Cities or Museums), but formatting the archives pages seems to have limitations from what I have been reading. I want to make these "home" pages for each section filterable with different filters (tags) – using multiple filters, and it sounds like WP archive pages don't really do this well (though perhaps I have misunderstood).
I understand how to set up a custom page that could serve as the home/toc page for each section, but I don't really understand how to get it to become the "home" page for that section (as in the "CIties" page in the breadcrumbs).
I have a lot of building to do so I want to set this up right!
Thanks for any advice to this newbie!
