wooaddcart options

I'd like to have a [wpv-wooaddcart] button in a view of a parent to the woocommerce product. So the current post will not be a post of type Product. Can I pass the id for the product I want to purchase in the addcart shortcode? e.g. [wpv-wooaddcart productID="53"]

Is there an action raised or a hook I can use when the product is added to the cart?
