How would you do this/what would you search for to figure out how to do this?
- CPT parent 'words' w/ CPT child posts 'definitions' (Urban Dictionary, as a rough example)
- all CPT are user-generated
How do we allow people to add CPT parent 'words' in a way that allows for only one version of said 'word'? For example, if we have 'Apple' (/word/apple/) and someone tries to add 'Apple' again (which defaults to /word/apple-2/). We want all 'definitions' for 'Apple' to be viewable at /word/apple/ and be connected as such.
Any ideas for a function or even phrasing for search? I've tried a bunch of different things but haven't landing on this particular use-case yet. Would it be a loose search when showing the 'definitions', like instead of 'show all 'Apple' CPT it would show all 'words' that have 'apple' in them?
Any thoughts on an alternative combination/structure that would achieve the same thing?
