Please advise on how to do the following as efficiently as possible …
Lets say I am building a Classifieds Directory …
So I would have two sections :
1) Stuff for Sale … with 15 categories and each category would have 15 sub-categories
2) Stuff Wanted … with 15 categories and each category would have 15 sub-categories
The categories & sub-categories for both Wanted and For-sale is therefore/obviously the same …
Here's my question(s) :
- How would I associate the 230 Categories/Sub-categories to both "For-sale" and "Wanted" sections so a user can select to post a listing in either For-sale or Wanted and then select the Category/Sub-category to place his/her listing in … ?
a) If I create two taxonomies (For-sale / Wanted) and then build 2 duplicate sets of 230 categories/sub-categories it is obviously duplicating/wasting database space in my novice view … ?
b) Creating two CPT's with 230 associated taxonomies is just crazy … ?
