Issue with embedded types (paths)

I believe I'm having this issue:
https://wp-types.com/forums/topic/issue-with-embedded-types/

I created a couple fields, exported, and embedded in my custom theme (very simple theme for a one-page site)
When I edit a post, the URL's for the scripts and styles from embedded type contain the filesystem path, like this:

<scrpt src="http://mysite.local/Users/MyName/Projects/Workspace/sitename/htdocs/wp-content/themes/customtheme/embedded-types/resources/js/utils.js?ver=1.5.4" type="text/javascrpt">

I am alarmed to see this does NOT happen when I switch back to twentyfourteen theme.
Any ideas what I've done wrong? Works perfectly when I activate the Types plugin. Hmmmmmm.

BTW – the export for Types works differently than it used to and from all the documentation I could find. All documentation talks about "settings.php" and "settings.xml" in a zip file. But export now seems to produce just a single, versioned XML file, which is great, simpler, but perhaps docs need updating?

Many thanks if you can offer a little advice where I might look to resolve this.
