Notes in HTML () cause tags

Hi,
I just noticed that notes in HTML, like <!– Start xyz –> ad a p tag with that content, like <p><!– Start xyz –></p> in the actual page.

Is there anyway to get rid of that?

Or if not, can you add it to the que? It seems small, but as a create more complicated logic in the views, it's a good way to keep track of what's happening.
