UPDATE – I've managed to achieve option 1 and 2 by embedding this code in the WP View:
[wpv-post-url]/?cred-edit-form=58….. surrounded by some lightbox code (from the lightbox plugin JackBox)

The final thing I am currently stuck on is the autocomplete on the search field on my view's filter.

I followed the suggestion here: http://wp-types.com/forums/topic/help-me-with-automcomplete-search-filter/
And have install the 'Search Autocomplete' plugin and ticked the correct custom post type but nothing is happening.

Do you know if this was meant to start working out for the box or if the View's filter search field needed some extra code?

Or do you have a better solution in mind for the auto-complete?
