conditional glitch on dropdown for types

I have created 3 custom fields. The first field is a dropdown that is called country. The second and third custom fields are also dropdowns – called US Cities and Canadian Cities – both are conditional. When the first country field dropdown is selected e.g. United States, then the second dropdown for US Cities shows up and when Canada is selected, then third custom field dropdown with Canadian Cities shoes up; however, the glitch I am seeing on the database level is that US Cities is showing up as an additional record on the DB is showing up when Canadian Cities is selected. Why is this the case? There should be no record to the postid for US Cities when Canadian is selected. Note Canadian Cities also exists on the db related to the same postid which is right but not the US Cities..
