Hi Jan,
CRED let's you create and edit content for posts.
So if you have a post and have created a CRED edit form for that post type. You can in the frontend of your site edit the post using for that the CRED edit form.
1. Let's say we have a post with title 'My post' this post has status of publish.
2. We have created a CRED edit form that will set the status of the post we are editing to be 'pending'.
3. We use the CRED edit form to edit the 'My post' and what will happen is that according to the settings of the CRED form this post status is changed from 'publish' to 'pending'
Remember that we are editing the post not duplicating it or creating a copy of the post.
