OK, discover-wp.com was a great idea 
I created a Book Review Demo
and I am going through it and comparing the settings in it to my settings, sicne I am creating a similar "ratings" website. I see initially one of my problems was in adding Taxonomy to a Type incorrectly. I will continue over the next couple of days to check these things and report to you my questions.
