Sorry to be late getting back to you.
No, I'm not using a localhost. I'm using a dev site on 1and1.com .
Today I downloaded v 1.4 of the Views Demo plugin and activated it.
Sadly, now none of the demos will install.
I'll get back to you after I isolate the issue.
