Hi CaridadZ,
Thank you for trying to troubleshoot. On this same site, I have a number of other Views and they are sorting perfectly on the same date-doc field. I now think this is related to the documents. But I do have a question for you.
I've sorted each of these child docs on their own results page to see if I can find the source of the problem. What I noticed was some of the docs had a date that wouldn't display, some had 1970, even after I ran the SQl update from the earlier support ticket of mine, and some posts wouldn't save the date in the doc-date input field.
Looking at the posts I saw some of the post titles were problematic. For example: "BO 31-523 Transitional Relief from the Requirement to Provide the Relationship Disclosure Information Prescribed by Section 14.2(1) of NI 31-103 and Ongoing Registrant Obligations for IIROC Member Firms" with an auto generated permalink that was the same, with hyphens, as WP does. This post wouldn't display a date. I shortened the permalink and the date displayed. Not all posts with similarly lengthy titles had the same problem of not displaying the date.
With the other two problems, I replaced the old post with a new record and all of the dates saved and displayed correctly. However, I still can't the sort to work. So, is there a maximum number of characters on a post title or a permalink you can have before it starts breaking?
Terri
