Thanks for the tip, Caridad.

Unfortunately I was unable to get the conditional to work, but I managed to create a similar effect by using a 'country' and 'city' template per the location type. Not sure if this is the most efficient way to do it, but it seems to work.

One more question – is it possible to have the 'bottom level' locations (cities) display as a list inside of their respective top level locations (countries)?

For example, inside the top level parent "France", the bottom level locations such as "Paris", "Lyon", and other French cities, would be listed (not entire data, just their hyperlinks).

I know this is possible using the traditional parent/child set-up, but can this be achieved when using one post type with top-level and sub-level data? If so, how can I implement it?

If it's not possible, can you think of any work-arounds?

Thanks again.
